About the game Call of Duty 1
Call of Duty 1 was developed on 2001, released in 2003 and was the first game of the Call of Duty series. Part of the development team originally created MOHAA. The scriping language also makes sure that Call of Duty mods are always open source.
A notable innovation in CoD is the prone feature, which was not available in MOHAA. There are five gametypes in CoD1 multiplayer: Deathmatch (DM), Team Deathmatch (TDM), Retrieval (RE), Search and Destroy (SD) and Behind Enemy Lines (BEL). These Call of Duty 1 gametypes were featured before in other games, such as SoF2, except for Behind Enemy Lines (BEL). In this gametype there are many Axis players who are hunting down the outnumbered Allies players. The Call of Duty 1 multiplayer maps are well-designed and nicely balanced, therefore playing on Call of Duty 1 servers was really popular. Another novelty available on CoD servers is the killcam. The Call of Duty killlcam will show the last five seconds from the killers perspective. This allows cheat free Call of Duty servers, since the killcam will easily reveal cheaters. For example, a Call of Duty 1 wallhack or a CoD 1 aimbot is easy to detect due to the killcam. This way, Call of Duty server admins can take appropriate action when they detect cheats, ensuring cheat free Call of Duty servers. Arguably, there is another benefit provided by the CoD killcam: it discourages camping on CoD servers.
